Hello and Welcome to the Cutting Family Reunion Blog and Web Site!
There have been some inspired discussions about having a Cutting Family Reunion during the summer of 2007. With so much going on in our lives today it’s no real surprise that we have such a hard time getting on the same page. This site has been launched in an effort to facilitate our ongoing discussion.
There really aren’t many details I can provide at the moment. Judy Spiers has taken the lead to coordinate this event. The plan is to rendezvous at Ocean Shores, Washington, over the third weekend of July (20th–22nd). Some of us also thought it would be a good idea to launch this web site and to send out some emails to let other family members know that it exists.
The home page for this web site has been set up as a blog, which means it will be fairly easy to post updates relating to our plans as they develop. It also means that visitors to this site have the ability to post comments to the posts for others to see and comment on, which I hope will improve our discussion. (You do have to register with this site in order to comment— a minor inconvenience that better protects us all from spam.)
This site will be updated as time permits, so keep it bookmarked and check for updates.

Hello Everyone!
Thanks to Ian, we now have a site where everyone can participate. As he mentioned, we are planning the reunion for the 3rd weekend in July–one of only a few weeks in our area where we can be as certain as we can be to enjoy summer weather.
You may be wondering why we chose not to plan a reunion in Enumclaw, but at Ocean Shores. The reasons are simple. There is much more to do and accomodations are far more plentiful.
Ian will be posting links to Ocean Shores on this website. From there you can get information on hotels, etc. Mary Rock, Ian’s girlfriend of many years, is going to be contacting some of the hotels to see if she can get any special breaks on prices. We understand that some people may be interested in camping. There is a campground right on the north end of Ocean Shores. That may take more time to research, but someone will be getting on that, too.
There seems to be more urgency about accomodations than about anything else. This is understandable since we will be there right at the peak of the summer season.

excellent Judy, and Ian. i see that the web site is up…great. i am familiar with such a site from prior interaction on a hobby oriented site.
i have already put in for vacation at that time, and plan to attend.
